To say that I have rarely had to deal with TORs is an understatement. Probably all my works were turnkey and were successfully accepted by customers.
In general, the Technical Assignment is technical in that it is made by a technically competent specialist who understands the conventions of the platform and the trends of the Web. I remember one of my works, which was made by 100% under the wishes of the customer.... yes, yes, once I talked about it. The project is called "Main Road". It's legal advice for motorists. I didn't tell anyone about what came out and certainly didn't show it to anyone..... It's a yellow page with huge white letters. Horrible font even for the time and basically a complete lack of functionality. With all this horror and gloom, the customer was satisfied with the work and paid for it. This is some kind of hell...
I was thinking about something just now... I will never again leave my copywriting on sites that I do not like and, most likely, will not take them at all, because such a customer will point at me if they ask him who made him such a site. Creepy! This is more than embarrassing
Okay, I got off topic... I wanted to say that the ToR should be written by a person who knows the topic enough to have a meaningful conversation about functionality, adaptability and SEO, putting forward their arguments for and in favor of the items in the ToR.
Coming, say, to my orthodontist I will not say that the retainer should be attached to less fixative fluid....
Yes, an unfortunate example... It is better to give the example of interior design, where the ratio of colors and the arrangement of objects is determined by the designer. You agree or refuse... Of course, minor adjustments are permissible given their justification.
It is for this reason alone that many cases today take as long to resolve as a snail an hour by the teaspoon.... The font is bigger and bolder. The color is brighter and juicier... Gloom! Very reminiscent of the situation in the 90's, when fancy renovations of "new Russians" were based on the principle of "the same for me, but more expensive".
Leave the work to the experts! Or find someone you don't want to interfere with - someone you trust.
