Ranks, statuses, ratings, scores, points, dates, kilograms, centimeters, and sums... The multitude of metrics we use to make choices, and even more often, to evaluate. Dry math burns the "Man" in us, reducing decisions to choices, evaluations, or pro/con, good/bad positions.
You can't put a price on feelings! It is impossible to weigh or measure them with a tape measure, or even to buy them. Because sincere, and therefore real, comes exclusively from the soul, which is more complex than any AI and quantum programming. I miss so much, I am sometimes offended to the point of pain in my chest that "feeling" becomes "redneck" when I observe insincerity.
At some point in life there comes what can be called a "point of no return". You never want to go back to the past again, never want to accept negativity as a convention of either "but for" or in favor of some compromise. Your values about yourself take on a whole different weight. And now anything that prevents you from standing your ground with confidence is clearly felt and needs to be eliminated from your life. And it is better to paint over this dark spot with fresh bright paint before it turns into a black, corrosive ulcer.
Your decision to walk away, to give up, to choose "not to choose", not to seek benefits, but to be of value to yourself is the only true motivator! Maybe "I'll think about it tomorrow" isn't the answer. How about right now?!
