Smile and laughter

Let's talk about smiling. During the pandemic, when wearing masks in public places was mandatory, I noted for myself the looks, the eyes of people. How beautiful were the eyes staring off into the distance, into nowhere in most people of various ages. At that time, I wanted to capture those looks on canvas or at least in a photo.

A rare passerby today will smile, in a moment of crossing gazes. The few simply smile at the world, holding their way in either direction. What is it? Why? Some image of importance, style or the abundance of burdens, problems and endless load?

В действительности же улыбка – одно из проявлений слабости. Почему? Ты открыт человеку, которому убиваешься и не держишь в голове негативных мыслей, расчётов и оценок. Ты по-настоящему добр. И да, речь об искренней улыбке, которая появляется сама собой. Говорить о “дежурных” и “нужных” вообще не хочется. Искреннюю улыбку и смех, как мне кажется, нельзя симулировать, это очень хорошо чувствуется. Если открыт, значит это выгодное место для удара. А мы уже привыкли ждать подвоха, предательства и лжи. Только вот всё это ответственность других. Улыбайся – оставайся собой!

A sincere, honest smile and laughter that is sought from the heart is capable of falling in love. The notes of this tune are mesmerizing and even addictive! It's like a cup of coffee in the morning... it becomes a ritual and causes an indefatigable thirst for more!
