Perspectives of QR code

30.04.2020

Well, I finally got to my blog! The basic design is partially in order and now it's time for the posts, the content of which is high time to review.

Much of what was written has lost its relevance and is no longer interesting. The applications have been updated many times, and the promotions have long since ended.

However, some of the posts remain relevant to this day, as well as developments that have not yet reached the masses. But now I would like to dwell on the post where I talk about the QR code. Five years ago, I wrote about a completely old technology and sincerely believed in its prospects. In the distant 2015, I could not understand why it was a problem to encounter this two-dimensional code in everyday life. The fashionable marketing tool was not used in any form.

Nowadays, there are no people left who have not seen a QR code. And in 2015, I started to promote the possibilities that a square black and white code hides. In 2017, its recognition was implemented in the standard iPhone camera, and then in Google. In my opinion, the use of QR code capabilities is still at a very low level, unfairly ignored and the functionality is skeptically assessed. It seems to me that this is the case when supply will create demand. I can’t imagine a business card without a QR code… I will write about many other things in the Blog, but now in simple, accessible language in a compressed volume of text, removing “water” and technical subtleties from it.
