The paradox of professionalism

It seems to me that professionals cannot be erudite, drowning their heads in their work. Such people, it seems to me, project their surroundings onto what they do themselves, what they feel comfortable and confident in. Sometimes you want to be a professional, but how unclaimed they are now in a general sense, in most cases.

The sad thing is, you always lose. In the case of a professional, your range of action is too small. In the case of a generalist, you don't know enough to qualify for a bigger reward.

There are fewer and fewer options for development, and there are only two options: resignation and zeroing out.
