Echoes of the Great Victory

Tomorrow, waking up for work you will say... how much you don't want to go back, how tired you are and how much you are fed up. And then... if you go back, it's only death. Where did the Heroes of the Fatherland get their strength from? Again the office, clients, reports, disgruntled bosses ... and then - ahead of the enemy, which has no time to fear. You, like me, wonder: "What's next?" And then, 75 years ago, there was one answer to this question - happiness, life!

A peaceful heart and sky
In each of us.
Someone who's seen war
Let it be handed down to its last knees and its descendants
How ruthless she is
As the earth burns beneath my feet
Tanks, squares, airplanes
Windows taped shut, fields rolled up in a thorny cocoon
And after that, just ashes and silence
Let him tell you how important it is,
that it's a time of peace between us
No passes, ranks, or personnel separations
Without long-range guns and regimental formations.
Without wagons, echelons disappearing into the horizon in battle.
A life long awaited, no doubt
Happy Great Victory Day to you and me
I wish us to remember to love and believe

Year after year we remember less, forget more and... The Great Victory becomes history on paper, which is remembered less often, trusted less, and doubted more. Our children's children and great-grandchildren will probably cease to understand and give an objective assessment of those days, as there will be no first persons from whom it is possible to hear what they experienced then... It is impossible to understand neither to me, nor to you, nor to others... how it was possible, what we had to go through and how much to see. But... the hymns and marches of that war involuntarily throw the body into shivers. Goosebumps on the body, tears in the eyes... as the second night cries him in Murmansk.

Sooner or later we will know the whole truth, the last veneer of secrecy will be lifted... and one day we will understand how it was possible to defeat the enemy. Peaceful skies above our heads and only health! Thanks to grandfathers and great-grandfathers for the Great Victory!
