How selectively our brain works, it remembers the poles, turns and nuts on the railing, their shape to every detail. Events that took place decades ago come out in an absolutely clear picture with the smallest of touches.
What happened three days ago, or what you talked about on the phone today... can seem like a fabrication when retold to you. Really? And it's not that significant things and events surrounded by a particular person are remembered... No! Many other moments, objectively brighter are erased from their memory forever... So why? Why do we remember things that don't matter to us?
In many ways, I am grateful to Instagram when I look through my feed and observe the thoughts under the photo. The opportunity to return to that day, to that mood and experiences... And how thoughts have changed over time, their volume, depth and vector.....
