I guess it's like the chicken and egg question... Someone has to start first. What's so hard about giving a hand? What's hard about accepting it? What are the reasons to panic if a strange man gives you a hand to help you down?

More often the situation is out of the normal status and the lady freezes in front of the door, waiting for it to be opened. In this case, you have to make an effort, almost pushing her away, to be the first to get to the door. 😀 Is there any shame in opening the door in front of a lady? Is there any shame in opening the door yourself? That kind of ostentatiousness kills any desire in my opinion.
