Values are the key to relationships

27.06.2023

Values. This is not the first time I've caught myself thinking that this is a critically important topic. The surest hook that can keep you with each other in a storm of any magnitude is values. Your loved one's values. No, there are no conditions here to share and/or as well as honor them. Respecting the other person's values is a must-do task.

A loved one's reputation smolders soon enough if you come to realize that your values in the eyes of your loved one seem absurd; stupid; not worth attention, time, money. Not yachts, villas, and expensive cars. It's not outfits, rings and perfume... it can be just an evening or just an hour alone to make eye-to-eye. To have time to say the important things. Even if it is important only for one...

Each blow of rejection, ignoring or ridicule adds a new crack to that bowl of your relationship. And at any moment it can crack into hundreds of shards... irrevocably, forever. Not even from another rejection - from any little thing.

How? There are no rules, regulations and clear instructions on how to understand another person. No one will ever tell you how, when and in what way to do it. If they do, they'll lie! But we still have a tool given by the creator - the mouth! Once again, when you are told about something with enthusiasm, breath in your voice, with a glint in your eyes and wet palms, just ask the question: "is it valuable for you? After all, it is not what you pay more for that is valuable, it is what has no price!

By respecting your loved one's values, it won't be long before you become their defining value. An essential one to whom all resources will be directed. Just please don't take advantage of this! If a person trusts you and you managed to deceive him, that person is not a stupid and naive fool at all, it's just that he trusted you more than he should have.
