Laptop upgrade

Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBY laptop stopped booting OS Windows Home x64 and hung on "Lenovo" splash screen. When trying to boot the laptop in safe mode, a blue screen with the error "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE" appeared. The following actions were taken to solve the problem:

• Check if the BIOS boot type selection is correct: UEFI or Legacy.
• Check boot disk for errors chkdsk /f.
• Booting the operating system in safe mode.
• Restore the system using a restore point.
• Uninstalling the latest Windows updates.
• Restore when the laptop boots up.

The checks did not yield any results. Obviously, the problem of OS Windows booting was caused by the update and/or its incorrect installation, which led to a change in the partition structure on the disk (there were 5 logical disks in this case). It was decided to re-install Windows OS on the partition with the current version of Windows.

Workability is restored. Recommendations were given to the owner of the laptop to upgrade the laptop, as for comfortable operation of OC Windows 10 x64 it is necessary to have at least 8 Gb of RAM, as well as the presence of SSD-drive. The 2.5' disk was recommended to be left for storing user data.
