Automation and the world of the future

23.04.2019

It's an interesting thing... but it can't even be called a coincidence and it's time to do something with your thoughts and intuition. Back when I was 9, I probably thought about inventing a device for "pumping up" muscles when I attended physiotherapy... Electrophoresis or whatever it was called, when contacts were placed on the shoulder blades and the muscles contracted under the influence of current.

And now it's been three decades... Every time I passed by the Murmansk cinema, I saw a fairly large area covered with boring banners. Why is that? What for? There should be a big screen here... My favorite QR code, which is so slowly becoming a part of our everyday life... I thought. A separate application for reading these codes... what for? Any camera application on the phone could automatically understand this code. Couldn't it? That's what I thought about a year ago... So what? In a month or two, a new version of iOS comes out, which includes this function. After some time, the Robot also begins to understand these codes on the fly. Where is my percentage? 😁 Today... Although no. For a couple of years now, I've been thinking about the absolute possibility of automating any of the processes in the modern world, business. To rid it of human participation and, as a consequence: theft, fraud, high financial costs, errors, corruption, low quality and high cost of the final product.

I can't remember the first thought that pushed me towards the possibility of automating everything and everywhere, but... for some reason the idea of McDonald's remained in my head. Simple mechanical movements that do not require uniqueness or personalization. Hmm... a robot could handle something like that in three counts. What's the output? It won't forget to put another cutlet in a burger, won't get sick (always at work), doesn't demand a salary every month, doesn't have lunch and doesn't hide products and goods under the counter, masterfully "tortured" during the shift.

And this can be said about any sphere, if it does not concern manual work: hairdressing, nail service, jewelry work and other, where the result directly depends on the master... his vision and the client's request. The author's work will always be done by hand... that's why it is author's...
